Based in Melbourne, Victoria, Abel is a recent graduate from Swinburne University of Technology, where his two graduate films, ROOTS (Director and Co-Editor) and SIMMER (Lead Editor) were awarded “Best Film“, “Best Script“ and “Future Focus“ at the 2025 graduate showcase.

His works span across short film, music video, television, and feature productions.

Currently, he is working as a 2nd Assistant Editor on Shannon Bennett: Pressure Cooker - A documentary series produced by Mushroom Studios and commissioned by The Foxtel Group.
